As many of our seasonal homeowners head out for the summer, a quick but important reminder on your thermostat settings: make sure your fan is set to AUTO, not ON. In Southwest Florida's humid climate, leaving the fan in the ON position keeps air constantly circulating—even when the system isn't actively cooling. This can pull moisture off the evaporator coil and reintroduce it into your home, raising indoor humidity levels and increasing the risk of mold and mildew. Setting the fan to AUTO ensures it only runs during active cooling cycles, helping remove moisture properly and keeping your home safer while you're away.
